About the Polar Squash Workforce Awards
Now in their fifth year, the awards reward and celebrate the outstanding accomplishments of the squash workforce who’ve excelled over the last 12 months.
With four award categories up for grabs in the 2017/18 award cohort, this is a great opportunity to reward an outstanding coach, volunteer or referee for their continuous achievements in driving squash in England.
We've streamlined the award categories but want to ensure the diversity of nominations remains high.
The award categories are:
- Coach of the Year
- Special Recognition Award
- National Volunteer of the Year
- The Tony Parker Award: Referee of the Year
The Polar Squash Workforce Awards see coaches, volunteers, and referees throughout England battle it out for each coveted award which are presented on the show court at the semi-finals of the National Squash Championships on 17th February 2018 in Manchester in front of a packed crowd, alongside the best of British talent.
Nominations will be shortlisted by the panel which includes:
Jonathan Gliddon - Chair of the England Squash Masters Committee
Peter Berry - squash player for 20 years, and referee for 3 years
Jim Foggitt - Chair of Merseyside Squash and the North West Regional Forum
Jo Rowbottom - England Squash Partnerships and Communities Manager
