Bishop's Stortford Squash & Racketball Club

Bishop's Stortford Squash & Racketball Club was formed in 1950. It is a rare ‘racket sport only’ Club owned entirely by its membership and operates on a non-profit basis. The Club has produced world class players such as Daryl Selby (highest ranking - World No. 9).

With regular social activities happening at the Silver Leys venue (quiz nights, themed bar nights, tournaments etc) the Club offers an enjoyable way to improve fitness, develop new sporting skills and create lasting friendships.

Hythe Cricket & Squash Club

We welcome new members and their guests, and encourage beginners and experienced players alike. Play to learn, enjoy friendly games – for fun, or as part of your keep fit programme, or play more competitively in the monthly leagues & annual club tournaments (which take place in early spring and summer).

Both our courts have tiered spectator galleries to view the action. There is on-going investment in the club to continually improve amenities and services for our members and guests to make each visit as enjoyable as possible.

Club Night

Club Night takes place every Friday between 5.30 & 8.00 p.m. All abilities welcome. The accent is on fast-paced games. To keep waiting time to a minimum and maintain fairness, we operate a one game to 11 points and off system. Players’ names are then placed in a queue; they go back on court with a different opponent for another game. Club Night is a great opportunity to get to know other members and play different people.

Annual Tournament

The annual tournament, which takes place during April, involves the following events:

  • Men’s Open
  • Ladies’ Open
  • Minor Leagues
  • Handicap
  • Doubles
  • Veterens’ Handicap (Over 45)
  • Superveterens’ Handicap (Over 55)
  • Junior Open

The finals are played over two evenings in front of a gallery of spectators.

Reigate Squash Club

Welcome to Reigate Squash & Racketball Club, our friendly and thriving members' club situated a stone’s throw from the beautiful Surrey Hills.

We welcome players of all abilities and we are very lucky to have two, level 3 England Squash coaches, Clare and Samuel, who offer excellent coaching opportunities for beginners, ladies, juniors, returning players and everyone in between.

We like to think we’re one of the most successful clubs in Surrey, with four men’s teams, two ladies’ teams, four vets’ teams, three vintage teams and a racketball team, who all play in the Surrey County League. As well as our four excellently maintained courts we have a small gym with bikes, x-trainer, rowing machine, stretching mats and free weights.

Our club boasts a strong junior section with popular group coaching at weekends, a weekday academy and squash camps during school holidays.

At Reigate, our members have the chance to play in a variety of competitions, such as our popular annual club tournament, fun doubles, the Double Diamond, one day graded tournaments and internal team leagues.

Racketball is growing increasingly popular at the club and it can be seen by some as being for those preferring a 'gentler' game or returning from injury or with longer rallies, it can be just as competitive as squash!

We have active internal leagues (mixed & ladies’) for squash and a mixed racketball league and a number of weekly club events, such as club night, club morning, racketball club night and ladies coaching.

In additional to squash and racketball, we host a range of social activities for our members and their friends & families. These include an annual golf day, a monthly social get together, trips to local breweries, quiz & chip night and our dinner dance.

We'd love to hear from you - You can stay in touch with us via Twitter, Facebook and email.
