Squash Stars

Birmingham 2022 is a great time to inspire junior players to get on court. Following a number of county associations running successful Squash Stars programmes, we’ve just launched the programme nationally.

Squash Stars is for kids age 5 -11 and will cost parents £42. Each child that signs up to their local session will receive a Squash Stars t-shirt, racket, ball, and a pair of goggles. Clubs will provide six weeks of Squash Stars sessions to get these new junior players started.

Now’s the time to register so your club can run Squash Stars at your club/venue in September. Throughout Birmingham 2022, young people and families will be signposted to Squash Stars - the new, fun, and exciting way to try squash.

Get started

Register your club as a delivery partner
All clubs need to complete a registration form so we can start the process of uploading your club onto the ClubSpark booking management platform. Complete your registration form before 27 June.

Add your Welfare Officer
To run Squash Stars, your club must have a Welfare Officer in place and they need to be listed on your club's England Squash dashboard. You can find instructions on how to update your club dashboard here.

Identify your club's leader to deliver the training
All leaders need to complete a mandatory online course. The course should take two hours and can be completed at the individuals own pace. Coaches Club members can sign up here free of charge. Non-members can sign up here. When enrolling onto a course, ensure you are logged into your England Squash account, we will then be in touch in 2-3 days with instructions on how to access the course.

Plan your sessions
All clubs are required to run their six sessions between Monday 5th September and Sunday 13th November. Start to think about what day and time suits both the Leaders and those attending the sessions and get the courts booked.

All clubs must run their first session in September.

Plan for after Squash Stars

To ensure you keep the new players at the club, ensure you have a programme for them to start after the 6 weeks of Squash Stars, this may be an existing junior session or creating a new one. You will also have parents dropping their kids off at Squash Stars, make sure you are selling your adult programmes/membership to them.

Next steps

Once you have registered your club and have the Welfare Officer listed on the club's dashboard we'll be in touch to get you set up on ClubSpark so you can create and publish your sessions.
