Become the face of squash and help us increase diversity

Passionate about squash? Want to be the face of squash to help increase diversity in the game? Whatever your level, players from all backgrounds are invited to express their interest in attending our photo and film shoot in the West Midlands in July.

As part of our work to ensure the make up of the squash community better reflects the society in which we live, we’re hosting a photo and filming day in July to capture content and imagery that demonstrates greater diversity.

Timings and location

Sunday 4th July 2021 between 11:30-3:30pm at Wolverhampton Lawn Tennis and Squash Club. Please note, players won’t be required to attend the shoot for the entire time.

Types of player we’re seeking

Squash and Squash 57 players of all ages, genders, shapes, sizes and abilities.
Adult and junior squash or Squash 57 players from ethnically diverse communities.
Adult and junior squash or Squash 57 players with a disability or long-term condition.
Family / parent and children players.

How to apply

Complete the online application form by Sunday 20 June 2021. Successful applicants will be contacted shortly afterwards and invited to attend the photo/filming day.

What will I be expected to do?

On the day, you’ll take part in squash or squash 57 activities led by a coach. Whilst you’re playing, the photographer / cameraman will take photos / videos. You may also be invited for an interview on camera on the day so we can share your story across our social media channels as part of our Return to Play campaign activity.

All activities will be COVID-secure and carried out within our latest Back to Squash guidelines. All attendees will be required to complete a photo and video consent form which will allow us to publish photos/videos of them on England Squash’s communication channels.

We will provide attendees with lunch and reimburse travel expenses up to a maximum value of £25.
