England Squash shortlisted for Governing Body of the Year award

England Squash has been shortlisted in the National Governing Body (NGB) of the year category at the Women’s Sport Trust 2017 #BeAGameChanger Awards.

The #BeAGameChanger Awards celebrate those individuals and organisations doing the most to progress women’s sport.

The National Governing Body of the Year award recognises NGBs that have demonstrated innovation and commitment to women’s sport with a clear impact on participation, engagement and profile.

Keir Worth, CEO of England Squash, commented, “We're thrilled to have been shortlisted for National Governing Body of the Year in the #BeAGameChanger awards. This nomination is testament to the energy and commitment of everyone involved in Squash Girls Can and encouraging more women and girls on court.

“The initiative has tasted great success over the last 12 months with thousands of women and girls picking up a racket, and this is only set to increase as we launch additional sessions across England and train up more leaders. We are very grateful to Sport England for their continued support.”

The shortlist will be reviewed by an expert panel to determine the 2017 finalists before going to a public vote which will open on 18th April. Winners will be announced at the #BAGC2017 awards in London on Thursday 11th May 2017.
