England Squash to award the eight Regional Forums £10,000 each
England Squash are pleased to announce it will be awarding the eight Regional Forums £10,000 each, to be spent over the coming season.
This new amount is in addition to the £35,000 invested for talent development earlier this year, with another £3,500 per region going towards this key area of work.
Each Regional Forum will be able to spend the remaining £6,500 on development initiatives and participation programmes that get people playing.
Mark Williams, Director of Partnerships and Programmes at England Squash, said: “We are delighted to be able to announce a further investment into the regional forums and remain committed to supporting grassroots squash through the county associations that make up the network of regional forums.
"The grants will help the forums support talented young players as well as funding programmes that get more people on court."
In addition to the £80,000 awarded to the regional forums, England Squash have earmarked £28,500 for the National Forum, to be spent on a national project selected by the forum members.
England Squash is also looking to host a County Associations’ engagement event at the AJ Bell PSA World Championships in Manchester on Thursday 14th December. More information will be available at a later date but, in the meantime, anyone interested in attending can send their details to Project Support Co-ordinator Hannah Port at Hannah.firstname.lastname@example.org.
