Thousands turn out for World Squash Day celebrations in England
World Squash Day 2019 in England was a huge hit with 4,551 people taking part at 157 venues across the country.
Clubs as far as Falmouth and Sunderland staged taster sessions to attract a wave of new players to the sport – from community outreach initiatives to open days.
But that’s not all, thousands of existing players including England pros Declan James and Daryl Selby, took to the court to join the celebrations, with everything from play-a-pro to retro doubles to all-night squash-athons.
The player numbers are still coming in, but one thing is certain, our World Squash Day campaign in partnership with Karakal and SquashSkills was the biggest in England in more than a decade!
