The 2026-27 PSA World Championships will bring the world's best squash players to London, England from 25 March 25 to 2 April, marking the first time since the inaugural World Championships in 1976 that the event will be staged in London.
The PSA World Championships is the most prestigious tournament in squash and 128 of the world’s leading male and female squash stars will descend on London next year aiming to follow in the footsteps of some of the greatest players ever to pick up a squash racket.
Egyptian duo Mostafa Asal and Amina Orfi are the current holders following their wins in Giza, Egypt last month. Asal vanquished compatriot Ibrahim to win his second World Championship title, while Orfi became the youngest woman ever to become World Champion at the age of 18 as she denied Nour ElSherbini a record ninth World Championship title.
PSA Chief Executive Alex Gough said:
"London is one of the greatest sporting cities in the world, and we are delighted to bring the PSA World Championships back to where it all began over 50 years ago.
“There is a real passion for squash in England’s capital, as evidenced by the success of the annual London Classic at Alexandra Palace and the Optasia Championships in Wimbledon, both of which feature incredible atmospheres.
“Hosting the World Championships in a city like London gives us a tremendous platform to grow our global audience. This is our showcase event, and we are committed to making sure the 2027 edition is the biggest and most memorable in the tournament's history. We look forward to announcing the venue in the coming months.”
