Host a Mixed Ability Squash festival

Has your club delivered our inclusive Mixed Ability Squash programme? We’re inviting clubs across the country to express their interest in hosting a Mixed Ability Squash festival.

Designed to welcome players of all abilities, these unique events will see participants from different Mixed Ability Squash sessions unite on court for a day of fun squash and squash 57 games and activities.

The benefits of hosting

By hosting a Mixed Ability Squash festival, your club will play a major part in growing the game. Not only will you be providing an exciting, new experience for players of all abilities, but you’ll also gain the buzz of taking squash to new audiences.

Alongside this, the festival will help build confidence amongst participants, whilst also increasing their passion for the sport.

There’s also a genuine opportunity for you to grow your club. As the festival will be some players’ first exposure to squash, there’s a good chance several participants will transition onto your club’s future Mixed Ability sessions.

How can my club get involved?

All England Squash affiliated clubs are welcome to host a Mixed Ability Squash festival. There’s no limit to how many events you can host across the season and, what’s more, we’ll support you throughout the application process.

Applications are open to host an event between June 2024 and August 2025.

What do I need to host a festival?

To host a Mixed Ability Squash festival, all host clubs will need to:

Be an England Squash Affiliated club
Provide a minimum of one coach/volunteer per court
Ensure all coaches have valid DBS and Safeguarding certificates
Provide fun on court games and squash matches
Organise and manage the festival
Manage the signups for the event
Notify England Squash of any changes to the event
Enter a team to participate at the event
Cover the cost of delivering the event - a small entry fee can be charged to cover costs
Ensure a qualified first aider is present at the event
Provide participant numbers, photos and feedback following the event

How to enter participants

If you’re not interested in hosting an event, don’t worry, you can still join in the fun! Clubs can enter a team and individuals are welcome to sign up to participate at Mixed Ability Squash festivals – simply complete the relevant form below and send it to the club hosting the event. They’ll be in touch to confirm your place, plus any further details.
