England Squash welcomes new competition and events team

Following an internal restructure of our competitions and events team, we’re delighted to welcome on board our new Competitions Manager, Nicola Moloney. Joining Nicola is Peter Fozard, our new Competitions and Events Co-ordinator who’s moved over from our participation team.

Nicola brings more than 11 years’ experience to the role having worked at Badminton England and Manchester City Council. Nicola joined Badminton England in 2010 where she headed up the major events and competitions team and delivered the World Championships in 2011 at Wembley Arena, the European Badminton Championships in 2010, the Yonex All England Championships as well as launching the National Badminton League.

Prior to this, Nicola worked as an Event Manager at Manchester City Council for five years assisting governing bodies on major events in the city including the World Netball Series in 2009 and the 2009 World Squash Championships.

‘I’m absolutely delighted to join the team. I’m looking forward to driving the department forward and contributing to the future success of squash in England.”

Peter brings a wealth of squash knowledge having worked at the organisation for the past two years in participation and playing to a very high club standard.

Peter said, “It's an exciting time for me beginning a new role and I'm looking forward to getting stuck in and implementing some positive changes."

Director of Marketing and Communications Darren Bernstein commented, “We’re thrilled to have Nicola on board. Her success in leading major events will significantly enhance our future. We are equally delighted that Peter has moved across from participation. His squash knowledge will prove a real asset to the department.”
