International Women's Day Toolkit

Celebrate International Women's Day on Sunday 8th March by holding an event at your club or joining the conversation on social media. The campaign calls for gender equality and believes that each and every one of us plays an important role in improving gender equality. Whether just within our neighbourhood or on a national or even global scale, every bit of change counts.

In the squash world, only 13% of weekly squash players are female. We're committed to addressing this and supporting clubs and coaches to provide squash opportunities that appeal to women's values through programmes such as Squash Girls Can.

Event ideas

Not sure how you can get involved? Take a look at our ideas below.

Invite the parents of your juniors to get on court for the first time at an existing session.
Hold a 'try squash' event and link up with a local organisation or community group to offer squash.
Link up with a college or university to offer an opportunity for their students to try squash.
Encourage your current members to invite their friends or family along to an event.
Hold a 'bring a friend for free' day at one of your regular sessions that week.

App Contest

For those of you running events, simply add your sessions and players using the England Squash web app.

Prizes

A Dunlop kit bag for all coaches or leaders who record 15+ new female players in the Squash Girls Can session type (must be a Coaches Club member).
A Squash Girls Can hoodie from 305SQUASH for five randomly selected players who have attended an event and been recorded on the England Squash app (please note the player must have opted in to receiving marketing to be eligible).
