England’s Roehampton Club to host European Club Championships

Europe’s most prestigious club competition is headed for the capital this September when the Roehampton Club in South West London hosts the 2024 ESF European Club Squash Championships (ECC).

Set to take place from 3-7 September, the ECC will see national champions from across the continent and some of the game’s greatest talent compete for the coveted men’s and women’s team titles.

This year’s event is the 35th edition of the championships and provides an opportunity for Roehampton to win a third-successive gold, following the heroics of England’s Jasmine Hutton and Katie Malliff at last year’s tournament in Paderborn, Germany, plus their 2022 victory.

Meanwhile, Roehampton’s men’s team will be hoping to go one better than their runner-up position last year. England’s Adrian Waller, Charlie Lee and Joe Lee all featured for Roehampton in the 2023 final, with rising star Jonah Bryant also a key part of the squad.

Commenting on the news, Roehampton Club Racquets Manager, Paul Lindsay said:

“We’re very proud to be hosting this year’s European Club Championships and want to make this a special event for all involved.

“I look forward to seeing some of the best players in the world competing as well as some 2028 Olympic squash hopefuls.”

The deadline to enter this year’s tournament is Sunday 30 June. Please visit the European Squash Federation website for more information.
